IN THE ROOM
FESTIVAL
In this room, young performers meet industry professionals - and work, rehearse and perform beside them.
Professional access changes everything. When young performers are placed in the room with working industry professionals, standards rise, confidence shifts, and ambition becomes real.

What is
IN THE ROOM?
In The Room is a carefully curated collaboration between theatre schools and West End professionals.
Schools are invited to take part in a one-day, industry-led experience where students rehearse and perform alongside working professionals, gaining insight into how the industry operates in practice.
It is collaborative, carefully structured, and intentionally limited to selected schools.
Across the day, performers take part in structured workshops and rehearsals led by West End professionals, working within an industry-standard creative process.
The experience culminates in an evening performance where students share the stage with their selected professional in a carefully planned live performance, shaped to suit each school and its performers.
Each collaboration is approached individually, allowing for ensemble work, featured roles, or solos where appropriate.
Alongside the industry artists, pupils are supported throughout the day by the In The Room creative and production team, including choreographers and producers.
